Luis Felipe Noe

Luis Felipe Noe (Born 1933) is active/lives in Argentina.  Luis Noe is known for Figurative painting-neo expressionist.

Born in Buenos Aires, the painter and theorist Luis Felipe Noé developed a figurative style of painting based on chaos as an organizing principle. Such works were shown in 1961, alongside paintings by Rómulo Macció, Ernesto Deira and Jorge de la Vega, in the exhibition otra figuración at Galería Peuser in Buenos Aires.

The exhibition proved to be a milestone in the renewal of painting in Argentina through its combination of Neo-Expressionist style, unconventional procedures and mixed media techniques, all of which helped to turn the human figure into a bold, rebellious image.
